Terms of Use

That's Canny is an editorial directory of events, places and things to do in the North East of England. We aggregate listings from public sources, partners and community submissions, and add our own editorial commentary. The site is operated by Cameron Clark (sole trader).

We work hard to keep listings accurate but events change, prices move, and venues close. Always check the venue or ticket partner's own website before travelling. We aren't liable for cancellations, errors, or anything you experienced (or didn't) at a listed event or place.

Some outbound buttons (“Get Tickets”, “Book a Table”, “Book a Stay”) earn us a commission if you complete a transaction with our partner. You pay the same price either way. Where we've recommended something, that recommendation is editorial - we don't accept payment to favour one venue over another in editorial coverage. Featured / promoted placements (when they exist) will be visibly labelled.

You can submit events via /submit. By submitting, you confirm you have the right to share that information and grant us a non-exclusive licence to publish it on the site, in our newsletter and on our social channels. We review every submission; we don't guarantee publication. We may edit submissions for length, clarity or tone.

Don't scrape the site, abuse our forms, attempt to bypass authentication, submit misleading or illegal content, or use the site in any way that breaches UK law. We may remove content and block users at our discretion.

Editorial copy, design, and brand are ours. Listings imported from partners (Skiddle, Ticketmaster, TripAdvisor, etc.) remain the property of those partners and are reproduced under their respective licence terms.

We provide the site “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties and aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
